Reminder to Post Information About Time Off to Vote

Topics: Legal Information

California employers are reminded that they are required to post a notice about employees' right to take time off to vote in the upcoming election on November 4. Employees are entitled to a maximum of two hours of paid time off to vote, if the employee does not have sufficient time outside of work to vote. The employer may require that the time off be taken at the beginning or end of the employee's shift. The notice must be posted at least 10 days before the election.
