A Message from CDF Regarding Firm Operations in Response to COVID-19

Topics: CDF News & Events

Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP (“Firm” or “CDF”) continues to monitor developments involving the spread of COVID-19.  Protecting the health and safety of our clients, employees, families, friends, and communities, and our ability to ensure seamless continuity of service, are our top priorities.

We have already implemented measures to prevent and minimize exposure, including travel restrictions, social distancing and hygiene protocols.  We also are prepared to implement, if necessary, our firm-wide business continuity plan that enables us to continue providing the same support clients’ needs without interruption, regardless of whether our lawyers and staff are working from an office or remotely.  With our infrastructure and technology platform, all of our attorneys and staff can work remotely and continue responding to your needs.

In addition, consistent with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations, and the Shelter in Place Order in San Francisco, we have closed our SF office and are limiting access to our remaining four offices when possible, emphasizing the use of remote teleconferencing software.  We have rescheduled a majority of functions for the foreseeable future and will continue to monitor health and safety guidance from the CDC, the State of California, and other agencies as we navigate this situation.

If you need to reach someone in our SF office, you should do it by email.  The office is closed.  With respect to our other offices, any in-office visitor who is not feeling well, who has recently traveled to one of the countries, regions, or localities that the CDC has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice, or who has been in close contact with people who have traveled to these areas, will not be permitted to enter.  Please reschedule.

CDF attorneys also are on standby to address immediate client concerns relating to the outbreak and how it affects their California workforce, such as work from home policies, travel policies, workplace safety, and reductions in force.  If you have any specific questions regarding issues concerning the outbreak and your workforce, please contact your CDF lawyer.

We know these are uncertain times, and we are here for you as we all work together to address the dynamic and rapidly changing landscape.  Please contact any one of CDF’s COVID-19 Task Force members if you have questions about what our firm is doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy and we wish everyone continued good health during this time.
