Bradstreet Appointed California Labor Commissioner
On June 8, 2007, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Angela Bradstreet to serve as labor commissioner for the California Department of Industrial Relations. Bradstreet, a Democrat, must be confirmed by the state Senate. As labor commissioner, Bradstreet will have significant influence over California wage laws and enforcement policies.
