San Francisco Minimum Wage Increases Effective Jan. 1, 2009
Employers with any employees working in the city and county of San Francisco should be sure to confirm that they are in compliance with San Francisco's minimum wage, which was increased to $9.79 per hour, effective January 1, 2009. For the time being, the California state minimum wage remains the same as it was in 2008 ($8.00 per hour) for employers in the rest of the state.
