Legal Citation for Requirement of Written Notice of Employee Separation

We have received a  number of inquiries regarding the legal authority requiring written notice to an employee of termination or similar change in status, in response to our blog entry on this subject earlier today.  For those who are interested, this is required under 22 Cal. Code Regs. section 1089-1 (d)(2) and Cal. Unemployment Ins. Code section 1089.
